We’re a diverse bunch at Improved Apps and we enjoy sharing a story or two… our news… and views… over a cup of coffee or around the water cooler (and an occasional beer!)

So, we thought why not share a few of our newly discovered noteworthy news stories, fascinating facts, helpful hints, as well as the things that have made us smile or simply laugh out loud.

As our apps support the entire gamut of Salesforce users from sys admins to sales reps; from marketing managers to business analysts and from trainers to support staff, (and bearing in mind we’re all human), we hope that there is something of interest to everyone.

I found this article by Martin Lindstrom had some interesting insights from LEGO on small data: on the need for a human/machine balance in our thinking:

I found this article of interest by Eugene Kim from Business Insider UK:

‘In one paragraph, Salesforce explains why it’s so hard to sell to big companies’  

In the article, SFDC’s Marc Benioff spells it out nicely (and reminds us), that even the fast paced growing giant that SFDC is are spending over 50% of their revenue on sales and marketing to achieve their results. Selling to the large enterprise is costly, but worth the effort…To me it’s all about building long term trust and relationships, where each side and every employee has to continue to listen, be proactive and then deliver above all expectations, in everything we or they do. That’s when we see progress…
